      New kid on the block

Well, I'm realtively new to lucid dreaming. I used to have them from time to time when I was younger (often during nightmares), but they've kind of stopped appearing for the most part. Every month or so, I may randomly become lucid for a little while just before waking up, but I've never successfully tried to induce one (I didn't even know it was learnable until recently), in fact I've little to no dream recall at all, which I have a feeling will be my biggest hurdle to overcome on the path to regular lucidity. The few dreams that I do remember are lucid ones.

I had mostly forgotten about lucid dreaming and dissmissed it as an unusual phenomenon until my friend suddenly brought it up one day. He had gotten a book on the subject and, in the course of a week or so, had pretty much mastered it (which, now that I'm also trying, is quite annoying) Anywho, he regailed me and a few of my friends with some of his nocturnal adventures and, needless to say, we were intrigued. I decided to do some research online, and here I am.

I'm definately excited to start experimenting with this as soon as possible!

Hey there, G-. We're glad you joined us! We're here if you need anything.

Out of curiosity, which book was it that your friend was reading?

      Hey, thank for the welcomes.
The book he's reading is simply called "Lucid Dreaming." I'm not sure of the author. I plan to borrow it once he's finished.

On onother subject, I had some minor success last night. No lucidity, but I distinctly remember at least three or four seperate dreams, which is pretty spiffy, cause I usually can't remember squat. Thinking back, however, there were definately several moments where I should have noticed I was dreaming due to the silly subject matter (actually, the whole night was pretty rediculous, dream-wise), and it still never occurred to me.

I think I might have gotten close at one point. I was was fighting my tyrannical English teacher by firing spells at him with my magic wand in the luggage compartment of a cruise ship, when I vaguely remember thinking: "Hey, something about this is weird," but then I was forced to dodge his counter-attack and totally lost it. Oh well, I guess that just comes with practice
