      Hey All, New here

Hey all, whats up? I heard of lucid dreaming before, and before I even heard of it I had several lucid dreams and was able to take some level of control over them. But that's not really sparked my want to sign up to the forum. I seen a reference to somthing called WILD(?).

From the context I got that it's when you enter lucidity through sleep paralysis(I know I murdered that word). Now what I'm curious about is often is that chance that you become lucid through that, become that happens to me often and I can usually do it at will (which I don't cause it scares the hell out of me.). What does it stand for? (Was the term coined because of the feelings and all experienced?)

Another thing I'm curious about is how often do lucids go bad? It's something I'm interested in, but I don't wanna go playing around my head

Hey, welcome to DV, you've posted some excellent questions.
WILD stands for Wake Initiated Lucid Dream. Which basically means you go from the waking state to the dream state, but it's not easy to do. I think i achieved it once, and once only, and that was only for a short period of time.
Sleep paralysis is when your body is paralysed to stop you acting out your dreams. Sometimes you can wake up still in this state, which can be quite scary until you learn what it is. I often use it to my advantage to have some really cool (not necessarily lucid) dreams. I've written a tutorial on it, maybe you'd like to check it out?
Lucids going bad...i don't really see how a lucid dream could go bad, being as it's your dream, and you are in control. It's more likely you have a non lucid dream go bad, realise you're dreaming, and turn it around...
Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions, and i'll do my best to help you out...
