      Techniques only before REM?

      Hello everyone!

Should a newbie only try these techniques and tutorials after doing WBTB (Wake-Back-To-Bed)? Is it much easier to be successful when a REM sleep follows after doing the techniques and tutorials? If yes, do you have any suggestions what to do before a non REM sleep?

      Re: Techniques only before REM?

Actually, WBTB is more of a "booster" to be added to other techniques such as MILD, WILD, etc. By waking during the night and focusing on lucid dreaming, you are priming yourself to have one.

Well, as the night goes on, periods of non-REM sleep become shorter and periods of REM sleep lengthen. That's why it can be useful to practice WBTB because you are getting yourself in the right mind-set before your longest dreaming times. Just be practicing reality checks and an induction method you might find helpful and you should be good to go.
