      recording your dreams

ok, im new here so bare with me

when you record your dreams in a journal, do you have to wake up at certain intervals of the night, because it says on this website that you should record them during the night, so do you set your alarm clock?

      cheers

      Welcome to DV!

You don't need to set your alarm clock. If you wake up during the night, you can quickly jot down a dream. Or if you remember them in the morning when you wake up, write them down before you get out of bed, as this will increase the content of the dreams you can remember. I write key words and short sentences - just enough so I can remember it when I'm properly awake and can record more details.

Ive just started recording mine and jot bits I can remember down. Today for example, I could only remeber one dream i had. I just looked out the window and saw a cat - This reminded me of another dream i had. Just have something close by, even if it's just a bit of paper that you can jot stuff down on.

Yeah, I find it handy to take notes as the memories come, then write them in full as and when I get time.
