      welcome ravenstar

THIS MAY BE R/T YOUR TOPIC AND IT ALSO INCLUDES A QUESTION I HAVE. I HAVE HAD LUCID DREAMS SINCE CHILDHOOD. I ENJOY SLEEPING NOT ONLY FOR THE RESTORATIVE ASPECTS BUT BECAUSE I'VE ALWAYS SAID IT WAS LIKE GOING TO THE MOVIES INSIDE MY HEAD. iF I CHOOSE TO WALK THROUGH A GARDEN I CAN REACH OUT AND TOUCH A ROSE, AND FEEL THE PAIN IF I TOUCH A THORN. WHEN I'VE NEARLY DROWNED IN THE OCEAN I PANICKED AS THE WATER WENT INTO MY MOUTH AND UP MY NOSE AND SWAM (DREAMSIGN- I CAN'T SWIM),LIKE HELL WHEN I HEARD SOMEONE SAY 'GRAB THE ROPE' . SCENTS, ODORS,TEXTURES, THUNDER, HEAT, COLD, PAIN, OR PLEASURE IS AS REAL TO ME DURING A DREAM STATE AS WHEN I'M AWAKE. HOWEVEVER, I'VE FOUND VERY LITTLE INFO ON THAT ASPECT OF LUCID DREAMING. COULD YOU OR ANYONE ELSE OFFER ANY COMMENT?

LOL. Same here. I felt like you were shouting in my face. Anyway, I think you
are asking about the quality of other dreamers dreams. Is that right?
It's very much the same for me. I feel like I'm in a movie, also. The sounds and colors
are all much more intense. Especially when lucid. Everything looks very defined,
with alot of contrast. I hope this is what you were getting at. If not, get rid of the capital
letters and try and be more specific. I'll check back. RC.

      You're getting sleepy......

Well, I can count the number of lucids I've had on both hands, so I can't say I'm all that experienced. However, I am aware of just how real the dream feels. Have you done very much that doesn't parallel reality like flying or summoning something? Also, reality checks may be a good way to remind yourself that you are, in fact, asleep, and whatever happens in your dreams will not physically harm you... unless you can manage a way to frighten yourself to such an extent that your heart fails and you die... But the chances of that happening are pretty darn slim.

Just relax and enjoy the dreams. Just like in real life, it takes time and practice when it comes to teaching yourself not to panic in certain situations. Personally I find breathing under water a facinating experience. If you can, try summoning up a friend or guide who might help you to enjoy your dreams even more.

I hope this was helpful in some way. Let us know if there's anything else we can do.
