First off, I'm so glad I found this forum and all this information on the 'net about Lucid Dreaming. All this time that it's been happening to me I never understood it and always was freaked out.
I posted a little about my Lucid Dreaming history in the "Lucid Experiences" section last night: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25168 Basically I just realized last night (after some online research) that all of my life I've been lucidly dreaming, on and off, and usually WILD because I experience all of the weird stuff first like hearing voices, (often chanting) and seeing weird colors and stuff. But I have some questions about this all that I hope people can answer:
1. Does it mean you have some sort of sleeping disorder if you have been easily doing WILD lucid dreaming all your life? I'm worried that since it has happened to me SO MANY times without my even trying that maybe I have some kind of problem. It's definitely not every night, but it's at least once every couple of months.
2. Is it really considered a lucid dream when you are awake on some level (can feel your bed under you, can hear your fan blowing, etc) but are having dreams you can't really control? I have never been in control of my dreams until recently. So it's basically like I'm awake (am concious) but can't move, and am dreaming.
3. Does anyone else experience not being able to move? Every time I'm lucid dreaming, I find myself paralyzed in bed and it scares the living daylights out of me.
4. Has anyone ever successfully used WILD or lucid dreams to conquer their fears, fix emotional problems in their life, etc? How long did it take you to accomplish this?
I'm confused because of how many people are posting about trying to get into WILD and lucid dreams, but for some reason it seems to happen naturally to me. I just hope I don't have some sort of neurological problem I don't know about causing it!
Thanks in advance for answering any of these questions!
