      Ahh man

Last night I thought I had a FA, so I walk over to my light switch to do a reality check and it didn't come on. Well it turns out this was because my lightbulb broke sometime when I was sleeping. I however did not know this. So I get excited and run outside and start trying to fly. After three tries I decide to do another reality check. This time I did the nose breathing one and of course it fails. I thought I finnaly had another LD. Oh well next time I'm doing two reality checks, and not the lightbulb one.

That could actually be quite scary. I have experienced times in dreams where I am not sure if I am dreaming or not but I have never had a time in waking life where I am not sure if I am dreaming.

What Barb said, never do just the one check, you have to be extra sure, or next time it could be worse.

Hey... I think that will really help your dreaming. As long as you don'ty try to jump through/out a window, you're fine. It's not about doing extra reality checks, becuase in your dream you might do extra and figure you're awake if one of them works. Just make sure to do your reality check RIGHT. But since you didn't question whether you were awake as a result of the reality check in your dream you will probably not either SO that's a plus.
