I'm new here, I stumbled upon this site when I was doing a biology assignement on sleeping. It was no of use to the project but I was intrigued by it. I read a text on lucid dreaming in english class and thought it was cool, but the text wasn't really specific so it didn't help. I'm SOOOOO happy to have found this site! I started a dream log but all my dreams have been lame. some middle-eastern football champ guy beats up his girl at a golf course, I go over to him and talk with a weird egyptian/turkish accent (unintendedly poke him in the eye with a broom that appeared in my hand ) end up in school with a general store in the teachers room and I never thought it was weird and I'm doing reality tests when I think of it by checking my hands wich I never saw in my dreams when I was really little. or checking a clock trying to make it go crazy. any good?

welcome! definitely poke around all the forums, there is alot of good stuff in this website, i just found it myself last week, i'm hooked "and I never thought it was weird"... ditto here, even after doing tons of dreams I will still wake up and think, geez, what the heck why didn't i realize that I was dreaming? like I normally fly over people in regular life I think that I am so used to doing super-human stuff in dreams, that I take it to be so real while dreams and never think it is strange, it's how it is for me...

Anyway, WELCOME!!!!!!! Many dreams will have you do stuff that is equally senseless, but have you not realize it is. The more you practice reality checks the more probable you will do it in your dreams, whether weird or normal, jsut out of pure habit... In example such as that the unconscious mind is predominant, so its harder to realize the whole thing is senseless and a product of your mind...
