      Hi from London UK

      Hi everyone

I've been told about lucid sleep after telling someone about my dreams.

At times i have been able to control my dreams mostly flying but other times just taking advantage of being able to control what happens which can be so much fun. A couple of times its gone a bit pete tong and i thought i have woken up when i actually havent and end up having pretty nasty nightmares, leaving me shaken up for a couple of days.

Havent properly read up about it yet but give an hour or so and I'll be back on here once i understand more about it

      speak soon !

Hey there and welcome to the forum!
Were you aware you were dreaming during this time? If not, they were not Lucid.

False awakenings can be such a pain. You "wake up" at some point, but when you wake up for real you want to kick yourself. Have you managed to become lucid when your FAs become nightmares?

Well, welcome to DV and we're glad you're here. If there's anything we can do for you just let us know

      Sweet lucid dreams!

I was lucid for a short time (i only now this from reading the tutorial recently) then thought i woke up and endend up in a nightmare that i thought was really real, this left me really shaken, it didnt help because around this time last year i was getting quite regular nightmares.

Yes, I know that!! Having a LD always makes you feel better in the morning, doesn't it? It usually leaves you more refreshed!!
      I see.
That is called a False Awakening, meaning you thought you woke up, but really, you're still dreaming. Just always remember to RC, no matter how intense the situation!!
