This may seem a little long winded, so sorry. I found this sight through a google search for "dream control". I have had between 5 and 10 lucid dreams that I remeber. Usually waking fairly quickly after making the realization that I was dreaming.

I definitely had better dream recall as a child, and even through high school. I would remember my dreams most vividly after waking on Saturday morning, realizing there was no school and then going back to sleep. I always thought this was because I wasn't as sound asleep as earlier in the night, but after reading the information on this sight about sleep cycles I have a better understanding of why this occurred.

After reading some information a few weeks ago about astral projection (just as a curiosity) from a few websites, I felt that the experience was more plausibly a dream state experience. I didn't think much more of it until early this morning.

I went to bed fairly late last night or early today depending on how you look at it, around 1:00am. I woke up again around 6:00 am, the approximate time I usually get up. However, today I had the opportunity to go back to bed for a few hours around 8:00am.

I decided to attempt an astral projection as described in my reading. I had 2 lucid dreams (a term I didn't know until I found this sight today) with a small amount of control, and at least 1 possibly 2 more with no control. The 2 with control as always woke me fairly quickly. I will definitely try spinning.

Also, as far as dream signs, I typically have just "known" that I was in a dream, which of course hasn't given me the lucidity I would like. So, with the help of this site I should be able to increase my lucid dreams without having to rely on those few instances I have just realized I was in a dream.

My dream signs would be, not being able to run, especially when being chased. Most commonly being chased, which is the basis of almost every dream I remember even as a child, and flying. I just take off now, but as a child who loved to run in real life I had to run in place really fast to take off.

Also, for some fun for those of you who can control your dreams. A few weeks ago I had a dream I could fly, with a twist. I had to find and grab a baloon filled with helium. Just regular sized baloons, one or two. I would grab them and take off, but I could change my direction with thought. This was not a lucid dream until I started to wake up, but it was exhilarating.

thanks for reading, and not falling asleep, but if you did "Sweet Dreams"
