      Hi all - new here!

      Hi all,

I just signed up to the boards today after reading for a while. I'm completely new to lucid dreaming after being introduced to the subject a few weeks ago through another site. I've just bought this book too -

      http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...9096609-8570042

I'm looking forward to learning and having some lucid dream experiences. Should I wait for the book, or just start going with the information on this site?

      Thanks guys,

      James.

      Welcome to DV James!

You should definitely start perusing through the site. If that book is particulary wordy, then it might help to gain some foreknowledge about LDing to make the read easier to comprehend.

Anyways, feel to free to ask questions and participate on the board. See ya about.

      Well hey there James!

That book is like a bible to some people over here, so I'm sure that you'll enjoy reading it.

Like the other James said, it wouldn't hurt to look around the site first. There are a lot of interesting people here anyway, so you'll probably learn something that the book doesnt offer.

i was hoping that's the book you linked to i had my first lucid the week i started reading it.

i would poke around the site, and get a feel for the basics. the book should definitely help give you a clear overview of what lucid dreaming is...and then ask any questions you still have here.

you're in for one hell of a ride
