      Just introducing myself

Hi, I just signed on here cause I want to be able to make more out of my dreams.

Normally I can recall about 2 dreams a week, and about 1 really vivid dream but as of yet I havn't been able to control any.

The closest yet was a dream during the day that wasn't a day dream (I was asleep) where I dreamt that I was in a shop and I saw this pen I really liked for £1000 in blue. Apparently it was worth that much cause it was rare, anyway, I thought it would be great if they released a tonne more so I could get it and i liked the colour and not seconds after a tonne of huge boxes came in through the door then the dream ended. It was quite vivid, but not as vivid as the one I had that morning during the night.

So I came here cause I figure that if I can get my dreams in order, I can use them to help my creativity and my art. Plus they really just inspire me, I still remember the dream I had and it was great, I was going on Holiday to Mario World with seats like in a normal car. I sat next to the passenger.

Anyway I got to Mario World and everyone was skating round an inflatable skatepark but again I was too old for it, they only let up to 15's skate and I'm 20. They had various types of gaps, kinda like the Tony Hawk's games and all the skaters were dressed in fuzzy mario costumes. Also you could swim underwater in these costumes... kinda wierd.

Anyway, what I would like from this forum is to be able to remember my dreams more often and get them more vivid and possibly be able to choose my dream topics. For example I'd love to finish the Mario World dream or at least not have to travel on the crummy Sea Plane (although the pilot of the Sea plane was really chatty). I particularly wanna see what all the fuss was about for the tiger suits and so on... It's wierd.

So what I'm gonna try to do is to get more of my dreams, maybe get a dream journal but to be honest before I do that I wanna know if my dreams interest any of you and basically just see if I can get them on a more regular basis.

      Or something Cheers

Hello Dagget Welcome to the Forum.

That is a great idea. Begin with starting a dream journal. You can begin one in this forum if you like. --->

Thanks for the welcome. I particularrly like the Peanut Butter Jelly Time dancing cupcake, like a Tauren dance... it's cool.

Anyway, I was wondering a few things, occassionally in the morning I'll stay rested in bed and sometimes I have sorta dreams which I remember a lot more easily, I know I don't go deep into sleep cause I usually wake up an hour or two later than normall and I'm not even sure i go to sleep at all. Usually it's late enough to be after something I need to do that day, does anyone else have anything like that?

Edit: I've made a journal which includes this morning's dreams and last night I added an avatar. I really like it

I think because you are rested you come into a stage of consciousness that allows you to either see hypnagogic imagery fast & easy or you to dose off and enter REM more readily.

Possibly, they seem to be more vivid so I reckon they may be proper full on REM, they definetly seem to be as coherant as normal dreams to the point that they have storylines.

One thing for sure, they are the best dreams Mega easy to remember and I usually get to choose what they are about but I can't control them during them, so not Lucid

Remember, control != lucidity. A lucid dream is simply a dream during which you are aware that you are dreaming. Dream control often comes with it, but control isn't always present in a LD.

      TygerHawk,
I like the way you put that.
It sounds like something that will be in a book 50 years from now called (Proverbs to live by!. )

Okay, my mistake, I originally thought that lucid dream was a wet dream, so now I've been corrected twice. It was only when I head someone talking about lucid dreaming like it was an ordinary thing that I released it wasn't that.

Anyway, I don't think I've ever been aware that I'm dreaming, I've got to work on my reality checks. My favourite one I think to do is checking my hands although I need time to see how that works.

Okay, I'm gonna try and recall my dreams tonight, no alarm clock or anything just anytime I just had a dream I'm gonna go over it in my mind and then write it down so I don't forget. Hopefully I'll be able to teach my mind that I don't want it to forget my dreams. Is that how it works?

He, I tryed concentrating on my breathing when I was falling asleep, I felt this tingly sensation along the back of my legs and around my waist which worked its way up my back, then my eyes started to pulsate wildly, really freaky but cool.

Didn't get any further than that though

Sounds like you're on the right track, Dagget. Personally, I haven't usually gotten any further than that with WILD, but hopefully you'll have better luck than i have.

Thanks for the support TygrHawk, I guess if I do it more often, I'll be able to stay a bit more calm, I know nothing can harm me but it's still shaking non the less

Okay I tryed to wild again, I wilded once got some REM but no dream, then again for much longer and no lucid dream. I sorta tryed to make myself lift up into the eyes where I didn't notice the flickering as much but that still didn't work. I definetly remember nothing happening during the eye bulging bit.

Anyway, I updated my DJ and I've noticed that either my dreams are vivid and revolve around me or not vivid and revolve around TV series and culture. Something like the Lee Evens quote 'Just the one ticket please' isn't something I'd expect to be there O.o. I do love quoting stuff though IRL

I believe you should begin a journal Dagget!
It seems very close to one now.
You may get some good feedback!

This would also eliminate double or triple posting.

      Cool beans.
It looks like you are beginning to realize some of your dream signs!
Keep up the good work Dagget!
