      Just introducing myself

Hi, I'm italian, please excuse my english; there aren't such interesting forums in italian, so here I am. I had my first ld 15 year ago but due to my ignorance I didn't know what was it. My first book on ld was Carlos Castaneda's "The art of dreaming", I read it six years ago. I often dream wonderful music and I'm not a musician, but music is my hobby (I play piano and I know midi programming). I think that ld is a way to access a higher knowledge, in my case musical creativity. My musical imagination during a ld is amazing, music flows freely and it is so perfect and complicated that seems that a professional musician wrote that score. But it's only my imagination. I wrote musical themes from ld using my pc and a sequencer, software can help people without musical preparation in writing music. I'd like to meet people that dream music and are strongly interested in exploring musical creativity in dreams and in writing music from dreams.

hey welcome to dv! I agree with what you said and thats really cool how you are trying to use your dreams to help you in the real word. Thats also impressive that you remember a LD from 15 years ago when you didnt even know what it was. Anyways, welcome to dv!

Hmmm, do you have relative pitch? Sometimes from the process of moving from your PC to your keyboard I would presume some of the music might get lost so if you can write it down in a dream journal you may be able t oremember it much better

Moleskine do georgeous music notebooks if your interested in starting a music dream journal

      welcome. your english is excellent.

i am very interested in using my lucid dreams to increase my musical creativity. haven't had much success yet, but then, i'm just getting better at lucid dreaming itself...

i play piano as well. i have never used software to enhance my music, though i plan to get a midi-compatible keyboard when i have some extra money (which could be awhile )

keep us updated on how your lucid dreaming/musical journey progresses...

I have also had a dream with a song. I play guitar so that probably has something do with it. I remembered the song and I learned how to play it on my guitar. I didn't think much of it tough. One day me and my friends were practicing and while we were taking a break I played it and they said "whose song is that?" I told them it came to me in a dream. They said it was great. I still remember the song. I haven't had any more musical dreams like that one anymore.

Welcome to Dream Views, Parse. I would also like to mention that your English is very good!

I can't say that I've had a musical dream, though music is a big part of my life. I play clarinet and bass clarinet as well as sing, but I've never had any great skill for composition. I'm sure that in addition to the other people here in this post, there are others here at DV who have experienced the same musical... revelation that you have, so feel free to look around or ask around for them.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you around Sweet lucid dreams!
