      Hello Everyone ^_^!

Hello I'm just introducing myself here. When I was a child I was able to lucid dream almost everyday but at age 10 or so it just turned off. Now-a-days I don't remeber any dreams and if I do remeber them they tend to be nightmares where I get killed. (Strange ain't it? ) So I went searching a few days ago for a way to control dreams and found this site. I may not be able to lucid dream anymore but I would say I have some knowledge on it from my expericences as a child. I'm here to regain my lost "talent" and to help others in anyway I possibly can. ^_^

Hey there and welcome to the forum!!
If you want to try keeping a Dream Journal, and maybe reading some of the tutorials, maybe you might be able to get your talent back. Also, reality checking would be very helpful as well.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!!

Thank you for the advice. I do have one tiny question though. How do you personally prolong lucidity? Last night I think went lucid for what felt like two seconds. I did reality checks, keep my cool (which for me is very easy ), realized I was dreaming, etc... but I blanked out and awoke. Also I would like to know how to WILD I can pretty much get to HI by sheer will but I can only get that far.

I hope this isn't pf any inconvience to you to answer these.

      Congrats on that.
Try not to get too excited when you do become Lucid.
For that, I would recommend doing something that will help keep your mind awake, while your body falls asleep (watching TV, for example, or playing a game). Eventually, you should end up in a setting similar to that on the TV...I have tested this many times, and did this even when I was 3, so it is almost foolproof.
Naw, not an inconvience at all. I feel as if it is my duty to help welcome people here, b/c it is like my friend's home, which we want to welcome people in.. I care for the members, the newbies, and the website very much, as if they were my own friends. So never feel as if you are an inconvience here...b/c I am your friend, and other members would be more than happy to be your friend as well.
If you have any other questions, go on ahead and ask. I really would like to hear anything you have to say.

Welcome to Dream Views, ArchSeraph We're glad that you joined us and I wish you the best of luck getting over your 5-year dry spell. And feel free to ask questions, because as nesgirl said, that's what we're here for.

As for prolonging lucidity, I haven't had enough LDs to really know for sure, but in one LD I had I made sure to be continually reminding myself that I was dreaming. Try not to get lost in the dream, but remain aware of where you are and what's going on. Once you are able to induce LDs, it should become easier to notice your dream environment, keeping you lucid.

Anyway, I'll see you around! Sweet lucid dreams!

      Losing the ability

Hey, noob here. Anyway, I was able to have lucid dreams almost every night as well, but I lost my ability I think when I was around twleve. I didn't know this was something that could be induced during the waking hours until last night actually. So I'm trying to be able to do it again. I find it hard to try and make myself question reality when I'm awake because I know why I'm doing it. I mean it's easy to wonder these kinds of things when you're not thinking about it, but when it's forced, it's not sincere. Do you know what I mean?

Hello and welcome to the forum to you as well!
You should try keeping a Dream Journal, and checking out the tutorials. Another thing is that you always should RC everywhere (even in real time), because it will really help. Don't be shy of doing it either, and if you end up thinking it is a dream, just believe it (even in real time, because it really helps)
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
