      new here, old dreaming

      hi all,
i came across this site unexpectedly and am glad i did....
i have had lucid dreams for as long as i can rememberl and thought it was something that everyone did--the same as flying in dreams, i have always been able to fly and didn't understand that not everyone can do it. guess i'm a natural. i have also had prophetic dreams and shared dreams. i have not had an OBE although i think it is because i am too afraid. there have been times where i've felt it start happening (spontaneously) and i jerk myself back. this has also happened for as long as i remember.
i dream a lot, usually at least one every night and they are long and full of details. i have learned not to share too many of my dreaming experiences as people don't understand, so it's nice to have a forum like this.
i am looking to get comfortable with having an OBE so any help/suggestions there would be appreciated.
i am also looking forward to trying some of the different things that were mentioned elsewhere on this site in my dreams. for example, i would like to go to a certain point in time and unlock some memories... it should be an interesting ride...

Hi, let me be the first to welcome you to this forum.

As a child I was a natural lucid dreamer like you but at 10 years old it clicked off and stayed off for 5 years and 10 months so far.

Now, I have only had two OBE but I found that in each you have to have a high level of focus to maintain it because it isn't a dream in the sense that you are not in the dream world but projected on to the physical plane. One thing aslo to keep in mind is that there is nothing to fear no matter what you see you cannot sustain physical damage, so that is a nice thought to keep in mind while having an OBE.

Though I was lucid dreamer as a child I remeber alot on how to have and control a lucid dream so if you have any questions feel free to ask me or anyothers.
