releasing creativity or something along the lines

      Hello,
This is probably a bit of topic, but I couldn't find anything concrete on this board, nor there was a more proper section for this (the off topic section is way too much off topic for this).
Anyway, I would like to enhance my creativity a bit. During my whole life I was not able to remember any dreams I had during the night. Well ok, two or three times a year on average I could say I remembered some bits and pieces. However what happens sometimes is when I'm a bit tired... ok, not a bit tired, almost falling asleep standing... is that I can hear music which feels very real. As I am a begginning guitarist I have a small question. Are there any techniques that would help me feel or hear the music without literally falling asleep standing?

      Thanks in advance,
      Sydney

Hey Sidney Out of curosity, where are you from?

Well, I would first suggest building up your dream recall so that if you hear more music in your dreams you stand a better chance of remembering them. Now, were you saying you have to be exhausted in order to hear this music, or does it happen while you're falling asleep? If it's the first, work on your dream recall through the use of a journal that you should write in every morning if possible. If it's the second, I'd recommend checking out the WILD tutorial as it may be something akin to the voices or noises people here while falling asleep sometimes.

There are a lot of other posts here at DV about using dreams in real-life creative areas so I'd recommend looking around. I rarely hear music at all in my dreams so it's not my area of expertise, but it's possible. I hope this was helpful in some way.

Hello I hear music in my head as well when i am very tierd and falling asleep. some times it is completly orignal music, which i have wirtten down. I agree with Ame, that you should work on your dream recall so you can hear more music durrig the night. As for hearing the music in the day, I would suggest you meditate beofre you start playing. just sit down and let yourslef become very relaxed until the music flows into your mind. It works for me. If you have any other questions or want to talk about it with me more, you can always send me a PM
