      Lucidity = better recall?

      I recently came upon this website and have been trying the steps in tutorials and such. I've found that I have had a hard time recalling my dreams and was wondering that if I attain lucidity if it will be remembered after waking up since I would be concious during the LD.

      haha that's a damn good question

      I'm sure it's possible to have lucid dreams then not recall them. I've had one once that I didn't remember until much later in the day, so I'm sure it's possible to forget them all together if you're recall is poor and then you have a stressful day and forget all your dreams.

      That why I always recommend that people keep a dream journal

      Yeah, you should probably work on your recall first, to make sure that if you attain lucidity that you do remember it.

      However, I will say that for me at least, it's generally easier to remember lucid dreams than non-lucid ones. At least I think it is. I suppose it's hard to know for sure, since I wouldn't know if I've had any lucid dreams that I didn't remember.

      yea, I always rember lucid dreams in great detail. maybe it's that some ones mind gets exited about being lucid, that it stores it in a greater memory area, I dunno.

      I figured if I attain lucidity that the dream would most likely be remembered because of being concious, and since you guys say to have great detail of LDs I'm assuming that would happen to me as well. Thanks!

      I agree with Mikeaus. The reason that you can have normal memories is because your consious. So when your consious during a dream that would mean that instead of the dream be recorded as a subconsious memory and fractured or forgotten, it is be recorded in consious memory so it can be easily remembered in detail. But just like normal memories they can be forgotten if you drift from them, which happens when you awaken and that is when lucid dreams fracture and quality or parts of the dream are forgotten.

      My LDs are certainly more vivid because I am conscious!
