This happened to me when I was a child. The way I fixed it was imagined a I was on the edge of a cliff then jumped. That worked for me maybe 70 - 85% of the time when dreaming. I know it sound wierd but it works. Imagine jumping off a cliff and at the bottom is the gateway back to reality.

Ohh... and by the way I like the quote in you'r signature .

haha, one question; why would you want to wake up from an LD?

The only reason i can think of for abandoning a lucid dream is if it gets out of hand and you start to lose you'r control over the dream. Like if strarts to become something wierd or even worse a realistic nightmare .

Whenever i've intently tried waking up, ive always been able to wake up. One thing i tried as a child was just closing my eyes in a dream and opening them in reality knowing that i would wake up. Now i just try stretching my eyes open, but it's a weird feeling trying to battle through your subconscious in order to wake up.
