      Biggest dry spell

Wow its been way to long since i have posted or written in my dream journal. Its been a few months since i have posted anything or asked any questions.I have a problem with my dream recall. I use to be able to remember atleast 1-3 dreams a night but I havent remembered any of my dreams in the past 2 months. If i cant even remember my dreams then how can i eventually have a lucid dream. Ive only had one and that was in the summer time. Ive tried methods but they dont work. I need to be able to have dream recall before i can expect to have a lucid dream, but i just cant remember my dreams. ANy advice to help my dream recall.

Hey don't be down over a dry spell. In four days I will have had a five year eleven month dry spell .

As for recall I would try meditation.

Honestly, what you have to do is just suck it up and make yourself write down your dreams when you wake up. Just lie in bed after you awake, not moving, and try to remember something, anything. Usually if you can remember one detail a lot more can come after that.

Also, I've found that I don't always have to write down every tiny detail, though it can help. I usually just jot down the most important things and if there's a detail that seems more important for some reason, then jot that down as well. Honestly, once you become intentional about recalling your dreams, your recall will come back very quickly!

You should also try and be very relaxed and get in a good position before you go to bed. I know if i dont i always twist and turn and burn up in the night, so i harldy get enough sleep, which makes dreams impossible to remember. You may also be trying too hard you know, if youre just overwhelming yourself to rememeber you may have a hard time, like me. i seem to have vivid dreams wheni dont need to sit in bed either before i go to sleep, but jist pass out...

Don't worry about it, I got that kind of dry spell too. I had an LD bout a few weeks ago, and before it i had good dream recall, bout 1-3 dreams a night. but after that LD i couldn't remember a single dream, but the recall's definitely coming back now that im using a dream journal. just remembered 5 dreams from last night, and i know there's more to remember. the dreams come to me when a certain detail catches my mind, like whenever you experience deja vu. i then just jot down as much as i remember.
