I'm new to this site, having only just discovered the concept of lucid dreaming. I've had a certain amount of control over many of my dreams since childhood, but just thought I was unusual! It's nice to know it has a name and there's so much info about on how to develop lucid dreaming.

I'm keen to start a dream journal but my question is this: I sleep very deeply and don't wake at all in the night. I often wake laying in exactly the same position that I fell asleep in, and need 3 alarm clocks to wake me in the morning! Does anyone else experience this, is it normal? I usually remember at least one dream a night (most likely the last one before I wake up) but having read the wesite section on stages of sleep, I've realised I'm missing out on a lot. Any ideas on how to train myself to wake more frequently would be greatly appreciated (being hit over the head with a frying pan is not an option!)
