      just another newbie saying 'hello'!

      Hi there, I'm sage/sagewriter/amelia!

i joined a little while ago but haven't had much luck with my dreaming. i can normally remember my dreams very well, to the extent of being able to draw maps of the dream towns! but i've been under a fair bit of stress recently and haven't been able to remember much of my dreams. i created a dream journal on here to jot down anything i can remember, in the hope that my memory will soon return.

i have only been able to lucid dream twice. both times i have realised i am dreaming, say i shall explore, but then go straight back into normal dreaming, rather frustrating! that was a few months ago, and i haven't been able to since. i'm not sure how to get it back, i try to tell myself i will lucid dream before i fall asleep, but that doesn't seem to work.

hopefully i've come to the right place to learn how I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hey there and welcome to the forum!!
That is good that you have created a DJ on here. It will help you get a good start on your way to having LDs, and Recall. Just keep trying, and you'll have LDs soon.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!!

      Hi

      Hi and welcome
      You're in the right place.

I have had similar problems when I'm really stressed. For myself I came to the conclusion that maybe because I was under such stress I might need ordinary dream sleep rather than lucidity for a while. They always seem to come back when things calm down.

      It will come back.

Sometimes having a complete break from even trying will stop the cycle - or trying a completely different technique for inducing?

Anyway - nice to meet you
