      From start to finish...

Hey everyone, brand new here and I was wondering, if I start tonight, how long will it take before i get to experience Lucid dreaming? I now that it's different for everyone, so heres some background info-

      - I can remember my dreams. (Alot better now though since I started a dream journal)

      - I go to bed at 11:00 pm, wake up at 5:30 am and write down my dream, then go back to bed unitl 7:30 am and write down another dream (if I remember it)

      - I can do body paralasis, when I'm relaxed.

      - Don't do reality checks often.

      Thanks for your help.

Times vary from person to person, really...For some, a couple of days...For others, months. It just depends. The harder you work, the sooner you will see results. Good luck! Welcome to the forum. If you need any help, there are a lot of people that would be happy to help you, including myself.

take this within reason, pushing it and becoming frustrated will only make things worse.

That's true....You don't want to be psychotic about it or anything. Keeping a positive attitude is also essential.

One of the biggest things is just getting in the habit of questioning when you're awake or asleep on a regular basis. Be mindful of when wierd things happen and ask yourself whether or not this is something that would happen if you were awake.

I would recommend the tutorial on Reality Checks, actually. There are a lot of great ideas there. If you have any more questions just let us know.

Remember, you don't HAVE to become lucid, just remembering your dreams more vividly can be amazing.

I'm still trying to RC as often as I can though

Though I always prefer a good LD over a non lucid, a vivid non lucid kind of makes up for the fact that you aren't lucid.
