      Newbie Intro

Hello all. This seems like quite a nice and supportive community, so i thought i'd give it a go.

I've been interested in lucid dreaming for a number of years. To cut a long story short i weaved my way into it from the Castaneda books. I began keeping a dream journal and practising reality checks to little avail. I ended up having a couple of very brief lucid dreams during a dormant period (i had gotten sick of putting the work in and getting nothing in return), but since then i've had nothing. I became 'disillusioned' (or rather, lazy ) and stopped practising lucid dreaming all together.

Recently i've been thinking about getting back into things, which is why i'm here
I won't bore you with any details, but the reason for the re-interest is basically a start-from-scratch approach my to extra-physical and philosophical views on life. After exploring astral projection for a while i decided i'd forget everything i had been told and start again. Lucid dreaming has now become part of that very slow (almost non-existent these days ) quest.

Well i think that about sums it up. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask. I hope to be hanging round here a fair bit in the future. See you round! 8)

Hey there and welcome to the forum!
It is great you are trying again, and to help you, you should try keeping a DJ.
If you do have any questions on AP, DS, etc, you might want to ask about those in the Beyond Dreaming section!
And if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Hi, Ardent Lost! Welcome to our community. There are a lot of things that one could learn here . We have an awesome dream information store here. Check out our adoption program and our tutorials. I too got my start in Lucid Dreaming with Casteneda's books. While reading Journey to Ixtlan I had my first LD! Anyway, if you need anything, contact one of us Dream Guides. We always love to help.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!

Welcome to DV, we are glad to have you. Sometimes starting over from scratch is a good thing. We see and learn things we have missed the first time around which helps us to become wiser.
