      Never had a dreamless sleep....

      Hi All,

I'm new. Hello. hehe. Hope to make some new friends around here.

Anywayz, as my subject says, I've never had a dreamless sleep. I could be sitting in class, in the car, anywhere at all and the moment I close my eyes, I start dreaming and I always remember them. I've had deja vu several times, its freaky. I've had lucid dreams several times too. Now thing is...everytime I wake up in the morning, I feel so drained. No matter how many hours I sleep, I feel so tired, I dunno, cuz of dreaming I guess!?! Every morning when I get up, I'm always mentally exhausted....

Anyone else ever experience this? Anyone have any advice on what I can do? I dont wanna stop dreaming though, cuz my dreams tell me a lot of things, they always have hidden meanings that I eventually find out sooner or later. I'm just sick of getting up feeling mentally drained in the morning, as if I didnt get any sleep AT ALL while I recall every moment of the dream that I had....

      Welcome to the forum!

You're lucky to be able to recall so many dreams - lots of our members have trouble with recall. Are you in the habit of recording them in a dream journal? If not, I highly recommend starting one.

As for the feeling exhausted part, your night of dreaming should have no effect on the quality of sleep. As long as you're still getting enough sleep (at least 8 hours), dreaming shouldn't make you tired at all. Is there anything else in your life that could leave you feeling exhausted? Do you wake up a lot in the middle of the night? Are you stressed? All these things could play a role in decreased quality of sleep.

i have deja vu where something in the dream world (or certain situation or combinations of events) happens in real life. is this what you mean? i dont know anything about it and would like to know more abouit it as well. i keep thinking that maybe i can somehow train this so that it would be more useful. (like psychic stuff) does this sound possible to anyone or is it pretty common and untrainable?

There have been a few threads recently about deja vu in dreaming. This is a good one that comes to mind. There's also the Beyond Dreaming forum for members to post questions and experiences, if you're interested.

Wow, y0ung_win3. It sounds as though you have great recall. It's wonderful that you can always remember your dreams. It seems that you have a great gift. Perhaps your dreams drain you so because you have a stressful waking life...? Of course, if you become lucid. you could concentrate on relaxation. I have heard of people waking from an LD rejuvenated. You might want to post a topic on this in another section of DV. Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Hey Gwendolyn, damn, I think you're right!! I always have lucid dreams, so thats probably what's draining me. Funny thing is, I've never used to it my advantage though, lucid dreams I mean, I never knew you could actually control what's goin on in a dream until I stumbled on to this website. I mean, I've dreamt of all my favourite celebrities, and not just dreaming, but lucid dreaming. lol, I hate myself for not finding this site sooner. Most of the time, I dream that something exciting that I cant usually do in reality is happening to me and I just pinch myself in my dream to make sure I'm not just dreaming and there...it doesnt hurt at all. Its like I'm all numb and stuff, and it gets me all upset and shit and I don't feel like continuing my dream anymore and since I'm quite a withdrawn person, there's a lotta things I wanna do in real life that only happens in my dreams. And everytime I pinch myself in my dream and find out that I'm only dreaming (which is very often by the way), I get affected emotionally and everything in my dream starts dissolving...soo....there.

      Anywayz people, take care!
