      intro

I'm new. Kinda sceptical. I wake up to people in my room, who are not real. I don't see things during the day, only at night. I think I'm awake. Anyone expereince this?

Hi there, staci - welcome to the forum!

Do you remember having any dreams about these people? If so, it's possible that your mind still perceives the dream image for a few seconds after you wake up. For example, I once had a dream that the entire floor was covered in spiders, and when I woke up, I looked down at my bedroom floor and swore I could still see them. I think you're mind can take some of those images back into wakefullness for a few seconds until your conscious mind really kicks in.

Or you may just see dead people... (pun intended).

      Good luck!

      Welcom

Welcome staci, from a fellow newbie! Though honestly, I have had a little experience...

Anyway, it's ok to be skeptical. I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the members of this forum were skeptics in the beginning (I'm one of them). Just don't let that skepticism ruin your chances of having wonderful experiences. Try to keep an open mind, and do your best! That's all anyone can ask, and that's all that is required to LD.

Also, you could simply be viewing other beings as you wake up that are normally unseen because of our biases and beliefs, and also our training to not see them (by intentional, under-the-surface societal pressure). As you wake up, you're going from a realm of possibilities to a realm of impossibilities, and residual effects can transfer both ways. Try not to be too worried about it. If you don't want it happening (of course, depending on how long it's been happening) don't think about it too much.

You could also be having what's known as 'False Awakenings' This is when you think you are awake, and what you are seeing or experiencing is real, but you are actually still asleep!
I've been known to wake up and try to go downstairs in my house, to complain to 'Hotel Management'.

try to go back and make them last.'
