      Hello all,

I'm new to all this, I've done a little bit of reading on it on different websites but I've never tried it and as far as I can remember at least, I have never had a totally lucid dream. So I'm as newbish as it gets. Also, I can use as much encouragment as I can get because when I start to try something new I tend to have very little faith in myself as far as whether or not I'll succeed lol. So any tips and whatnot would be great. Thanks!! :-)

Reading the book, Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming is a great way to start. Confidence is a very important part of being able to LD. So, if I were you, I would work on that aspect. Have a great time with us!

      - Stay positive, have faith in yourself.
      - Read a bit in this thread, bookmark it and read it if you loose motivation. (I don't know if theres a similar thread here on dreamviews so I posted this one from LD4ALL)
      - Start a dream journal. And start looking for your dream signs when you have written down enough dreams.
      - Read about the techniques and choose the one that's good for you.
      - Start doing reality checks, and do them right.
      - Have a look at the tutorials.

      - Have fun here!

      Welcome to the forum!

My piece of advice for you is: try different techniques and find out what works best for you (everyone is different and this is reflected in induction techniques). Also, try not to get discouraged, LDing can take a lot of effort - just keep practicing and you'll get there!

      Good luck and have fun!
