As long as I'm new here...

I figured I should introduce myself.

Through some amount of random web browsing (I'm sure we all know how one site can lead to another and POOF! You're way off topic!) I managed to come upon this site, and the forums. I've always been rather interested in my dreams, but I've never really devoted the time to recording them/finding out more about my dreams. Also, lucid dreaming sounds like something I can't pass up.

Although most nights I don't recall any of my dreams, when I do remember them I remember clearly, so I'm going to try and draw on that little bit of "talent" to help with dream recall, keeping a journal, and eventually lucid dreaming.

So far, the only times I've become lucid are times when I desperately need to wake up and use the restroom. After a few close calls I learned to recognize when I needed to wake up for this (usually when I sit down on the potty in my dream ~_~) and I become lucid long enough to wake up. Lol.

Hopefully with some work I can find other dream signs that won't force me to wake up as soon as I'm lucid!

I look forward to reading (and sharing) with the community!

Welcome to the forum, Charisma! Glad you found the place ok.

Anyway, do you currently keep a dream journal? If not, that would be your first step. This will increase your recall and help you develop dream signs to help you become lucid.

Also, I'd recommend picking up Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge (commonly refered to as EWOLD on this forum). It's a fantastic reference tool you can really learn a lot from.

      Good luck and have fun!

Well I started on my journal last night. Managed to write down one dream. The next time I woke up from one my husband was talking to me so I forgot it, oh well. Happy to get at least one in!
