Hey there and welcome to the forum! That is showing pretty good dream control in those nightmares, but did you know you were dreaming while having them. To have LDs, first I would recommend that you keep a Dream Journal to help boost your recall, and also, you might also want to take a look at the Tutorials as well, so that you can find a method that is right for you! Hey Josh, thanks for sharing! I think it's great that your dad taught you how to control your dreams - that's a great talent to have during those younger years when you tend to have more nightmares. I was wondering if you actually knew you were dreaming, or if you just had control over the dream? There's a distinct difference between the two things. You can have a lot of control over a dream, but not necessarily be lucid. And you can be lucid and no control over a dream. The two things aren't dependant on one another. If you're interested, I'd recommend buying the book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge (commonly refered to as EWOLD on this forum). It's considered the Bible of LDing and I think you'd find it very interesting. I like to read it before bed - helps get me in the "dreaming frame of mind." Please feel free to share your experiences and post any questions you may have. You can always PM me or another Dream Guide as well - we're always happy to help. So start trying some techniques and let us know how it works out! Different things work for different people, so the key is finding out what works best for you. Good luck and have fun! i wanted to ask u when i go to sleep,and realise that i'm Lucid i try to move and i wake up becous i moved my arme in real life,but that was before i found this site,so it's a old problem
