      to the forums!

Ummmm... I'd love to help, but I'm not exactly sure what you mean here...

Do you mean that you close your "dream-eyes" and then open your "dream-eyes"? Or, do you close your "dream-eyes" and then open your "reallife-eyes"??? If you could be a little more clear, that might help...

ALSO in a totally unrelated issue...

I take it that, by your avatar pic and your username, that you are familiar with, or a fan of, the writings of H.P. Lovecraft? I'm wondering, then, if you'd like to help me...

About a month ago, I stumbled upon Lovecraft. He was mentioned somewhere, and so I read up quite a bit on his stuff, and though I never got around to reading any of his books, I got somewhat intrigued. Now, I'd REALLY like to read some of his stuff, but I'm not sure if it would be "me", and I'm not exactly sure where to start, as he seems to have written a fair bit...

So... I dunno, if you'd be willing to tell me a bit about his writing, and give me a bit of advice on what I should consider reading first, I'd be most grateful.

As for your question, I hope that I, or someone else, can be of help!

Hi, welcome to DV! I'm not sure what the technical term for this is, but i've heard it can be a good reality check, as if you close your dream eyes and the scenery changes, it means you're dreaming. If it doesn't, you're awake. Of course, a reality check doesn't always work, that's why it's always good to have more than one type!

I don't think there is a technical term for that specific action. Welcome to the forum, though.

      Complete HP lovecraft works.
As for what to start with, "The dream quest of unkown kadath" and "At the mountains of madness" are two of my favourites, but to see if you like it or not start with the shorter ones.

I can remember that I dreamt that I´m in the depertment store. When I was choosing something I suddenly thought that it might be a dream...so I closed my eyes for a while and wait...and it was a long while during which was just black....so i opened my eyes again it was still the same place where I was before...
