      Guess what - another newbie!!!!!

      Hi there!
I have been facinated by dreams for many years. I have had a number of lucid episodes in my dreams but unfortunately I am unable to maintain them - after I realise I am dreaming I usually slip back into a normal dream, or I wake up. Hopefully reading some tips and tutorials here will help me.
I have kept dream journals sporadically but my problem is my dreams are vivid, long, and involved, and usually takes me a while to transcribe them all - like trying to write the plot, scene, characters etc from a full length feature film. Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks for reading this and looking forward to finding out more.

He there and welcome to the forum!!

Please do not triple-post your thread, because the mods will have a cow!
The best thing to do is to keep trying, and you'll succeed. Keeping a DJ and looking at the tutorials is a very good start!
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

That's fine, I am just glad I was able to catch you instead of someone else doing so.

So, do you have any specific questions on LDing?

No specific questions yet. Will probably have some once I try and get the technique going again.
The last time I had a lucid episode in a dream, I just didn't know what to do. It was like watching a film and someone had shouted 'cut' - the action stopped and everything just faded away. A previous time I was walking, realised I was dreaming, so tried to fly. Couldn't get off the ground tho, which was very frustrating. Again I didn't know what to do and it all just faded away. I guess I just need a little more practice and confidence.

Umm the only thing I can tell you is to just write down the main points such as settings, charcters, and the overall subject of the dream. Writing these things down often prevents you from forgetting the tinier details of the dream.

It makes sense when you think about it without any logic whatsoever.
