      Good morning

      Good morning all,

I'm relatively new to the dreaming thing. I used to dream a lot but lately I kind of stopped thinking about it. I was under the impression that I havent had a dream for months, but I recently (2 days ago) started keeping a dream journal because of a website i saw online. I've realised now that I actually have a LOT more dreams than I thought.

Without thinking too much about it I've recalled about 4 dreams each last night and the night before.

The mind is a powerful thing, that you can just cast all those dreams out of your mind for a few months and not remember them at all.

I was interested in Lucid Dreaming a few months back, but didnt really understand much of it. I realise now that I in fact was lucid once or twice for a split second, when i realised i was dreaming. (Unless i dreamt that i realised i was dreaming) hehe.

I look forward to reading all your experiences and sharing my own

Good morning to you too and welcome to Dream Views.

It's said everyone dreams but not everyone remembers those dreams. Sometimes it takes work to recall them, sometimes it doesn't. Depends on the person. Looks like your recall is good.

Keep practicing and you will get longer stretches of lucidity and gain better control. Good luck with LDing and please do share your experiences.

      See you around.

      Thanks Vex Kitten

The first night I decided to try this, before i had read to much about it, i vaguely had an impression of what a WILD was an what the technique was about.

I woke up that night at 5am and wrote down my dreams, and decided what the hell, ive got time, let me try to WILD. hehe.

i started relaxing and falling asleep while keeping conscious, when all of a sudden i started seeing colours in front of my closed eyes like when you press your fingers to your eyelids. It lasted for about 10 seconds when i suddenly felt this shock going through my back and i heard this LOUD buzzing in my ear, almost like i was getting electrocuted. I had no idea what was going on, but id read enough to think maybe this is just natural.

I waited like that, with this loud jolt continuously running through my back for maybe a minute or so. thats when i started getting a little freaked out and decided to rather wake myself up. it was really hard to move, kindve like i was paralysed, but i eventually got my hand to the light switch to put it on.

i was kinda weirded out so i immediately went online to find what had just happened. it turns out i found a website that described that feeling exactly, to a tee, and thus here i am

that was the first time i thought to myself, "Hey, all these people can't be crackpots, they might be onto something".

LOL!! Yeah.. we're not ALL crackpots!!

Based on your first post, it definately sounds like you were on the verge of a WILD.. next time just try to relax, ride it out and watch where it takes you!
