hi guys!

I just 'discovered' this site last night, and decided to try forcing myself into having a lucid dream after reading about LD's for a couple of hours.......

The method I used, was basically just to fall asleep thinking about lucid dreaming, willing myself to have one, and I also set an alarm for a couple of hours into the night as I read you're more likely to have an LD after just waking up.

The result of this was *almost* an LD - I've only ever had one LD, about 10 years ago, and to be honest was pretty surprised I could get such a result in one night, as I very rarely dream at all (or recall dreaming at least).

I dreamt I was lying on a sofa, playing a bassline that I know on an acoustic guitar (around the world by RHCP if anyones interested ). I explained to my mum who was stood next to me that I was trying to make myself have a lucid dream about playing bass, and that I thought if I fell asleep playing an instrument, it would increase the chance of this happening.

Then things started to change until I could just see the fretboard of the acoustic guitar, me still playing it somehow, but the sound started to become more 'bass' like and really intensify, I'm a bit of a bass guitar nut and am always yearning after that 'perfect' tone, and I think thats what caused this 'sensation'. The clarity of the sound I heard was inexplicable, I've never heard such a clear, intense, vivid sound in my life, nor anything which comes close. I had a dream more vivid than anything I've experienced in 18 years of reality... Weird huh?

p.s sorry for this mammoth of a post...

EDIT- I'd like to hear of anyone else who's had a similar experience
