      A LITTLE CONFUSED. SOMEONE HELP??!

okay, i don't know if this was lucid dreaming cause i'm a little new
but i was taking a nap and was having a scary dream.
and it was like i was awake, and i didn't wanna have the dream, so i tried making myself wakeup in a sense? and my eyes wouldn't open. it was weird i felt myself trying to open my eyes but its like i was so tired they wouldn't open.
then i felt like i couldn't move. my whole body felt like it was paralyzed and it was tingling. and i finally woke up somehow, and my head hurt really bad and i felt kinda.. blah? haha. i dunno, it's a little confusing but does anybody know what its about? it was a little scary too, and it happened before too.

That sounds like a lucid dream to me -- you must have realized you were dreaming because you wanted to wake up. Many people, myself included, have had their first LDs when having a nightmare, realizing it must be a dream, and waking up on purpose.

The paralyzation you felt was Sleep Paralysis (SP), and is perfectly normal. Usually you are not aware of it, because you are asleep, but apparently by forcing yourself awake, your mind woke up before your body did, so you felt the SP.

Dont fight!, you are in control..

Mick, was a lucid dream alright, as you "realised", dont be scared of it, you are in control!.
have fun there, accept it is a dream and try running or looking around. If you dream up something bad, counter-act it.
