      spinning and rubbing definitely works...

but whats the best technique of maintaining constant dreaming attention without the disappointment of premature fading of the dream environment?

      Welcome to the forum Jags!

I'm not really sure what the best method is for keeping ones attention focused. I imagine that different methods would work best for different people.

It's always dancing Banana time for you isn't it?
The best times of your life should not be when you're still so young, or else you'll live a life always dreaming of the past.

      WELCOME!!!!!!

In my case spinning(the only time I have tried it) did the trick, but I also like to look at my hands and try focusing on them to make things clearer....
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

      found the forum yesterday...
need hints on prolonging dreaming and entering the WILDS...
had 3 in a row a month ago using spinning and then rubbing...
you can rub anything, not just the hands...rubbed the feet that worked...
thanks TB, mmm seems hands are the dreamers special friends...
loving the exsquisite detail of the dream environment...
became lucid in the back of a taxi, urban area suffused street lamps
got out, started running as usual but learning to control that
unnecessary habit...who's coming down the street a tall guy carrying 2
sticks, grabbed em and wrestling ensued...faded to NLS...
jumped through a funeral car roof the other night ended up face to face
with the geezer in the coffin...
death is such an explorable subject!

lucidity tends to fade quickly in the early stages of practice...
when the lights start going out spinning around or rubbing your hands is
a recognised technique for prolonging your lucid experience...

      It certainly is.

I have read journals where people have held onto dream characters jackets or coats, and attempted to feel the fabric. I expect anything with a very distinct feel to it (carpet, fluffy toys, you name it), would help you.

I dunno really how the spinning technique works but I do know that the rubbing technique is to help you cocentrate on a specific senses and that way keeping the dreamword stable somehow.

BUT SERIOUSLY, EXCERCISING THE SUBTLE BODY JUST BEFORE

DROPPING OFF, HAD ME IN A SPLIT SECOND WILD THIS MORNING

DOES ANYONE ELSE DO IT THIS WAY?...

TRY LOOKING IN A MIRROR AT YOURSELF AS SLEEPTIME IMAGE...

In a lucid dream I had today I maintiained lucidity while and after everything faded by grabbing on to a tree or a branch that was nearby. It even worked after everything faded, I imagined myself grabbing on to something and not letting go, and certainly I went back to where I was before....

Try flipping you know backwards no hander. That works for me or even a handstand. Anything that could throw off my axis.
