Hi i am a new member of the dream views site. Eversince I can remember I have been having lucid dreams on a frequent basis, but I did not understand the concept which is known as "lucid dreaming" until researching the subject of dreams and finding this site.

Initally i accepted my dreams and that i had control in them, but one day I had a spark of interest to investigate further, finding a great community like this to share my views with. As you can see my dream rating is dream scholar, maybe this is to high? Im not sure but I do believe that I have significant experience with lucid dreams.

Often my dreams revolve around people and involve conversations. I often have dreams that answer questions that i cannot find the answer to, or they guide me with real life decisions. Often I have dreams that are just plain weird and confusing, but I can always control my own actions, nevertheless i can never do anything out of the ordinary. I cant fly or have magical powers. The landscape appears to be parrallel to the one I really live in and recently I have only just noticed that all my dreams seem to happen in a nighttime setting!

One of my most significant dreams, which led me to investigate the topic, ultimately landing me onto this site was a dream of a particular tudor style house. Whilst on holiday during a car journey, in a field stood this house. The feeling was indescribable but it was a mixture of satisfaction and shock. I had never seen this house before in my life, nor had i been on holiday to this place, but there it was. I have had other strange occurences with de ja vu and then realised days later, that i dreamt that exact setting before it happened, as though everything was in place during a particular moment as id seen it before. Like a photo.

I can remember dreams from my childhood, and can always remember the dreams i have had over the course of the night throughout the day. I have experienced many strange links with real life to dreams and have only mentioned one above. The whole topic intrigues me and I would love to investigate further about lucid dreaming, why it happens? etc. If anyone has had these experiences or can help me I would be much obliged. Thanks alot.

John
