Could the old hag syndrome really choke you?

Instead of making multiple posts, I'll just add on from the post I made yesterday.
Could the old hag really choke you?

here's the link in which I found that,

      http://www.ghostvillage.com/legends/2002/l..._11302002.shtml

If you halucinate while in SP while wearing one of those eye cover thingies, could you halucinate that some creature took the eye cover thingies off?

      thanks

No, absolutely not. It's all just something created by your mind -- it isn't a real presence. Of course, I suppose you could choke yourself if you really tried, but I find that highly unlikely.

The only reason 'old hag syndrom' occurs is because the body paralyzes itself so it doesn't move while dreaming and hurt the body. Its just being awake while this happens, thus your own body will not kill you.

Its absurd to fear it if you know what it is.
