      Hi.

I'm new here, so I'll introduce myself.

My name's Kane, and I heard about lucid dreaming about a month ago after looking up sleep paralysis. Right now I'm just trying to develop my dream recall (I can usually remember one per week, pretty bad but it's better than the average of one every two or three months I could remember before I heard about all this).

I think I might have had a LD before - I can't remember where I was or what I was doing but I thought to myself "wow, I'm dreaming". I guess it could be possible that I only dreamt that I was having an LD. Anyway, immediately afterwards I forgot that I was dreaming and found myself in a junkyard next to a huge chunk of brocolli which was bleeding.

Heya Kane, and welcome to DreamViews!

Are you keeping a Dream Journal? That's one of the best ways to improve your recall. Keep a pad of paper and a pen or pencil near your bed, so that you can jot down whatever you remember as soon as you wake up. You'll probably find that the more you write, the more you will remember.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask questions!

I'm keeping a dream journal. I'm also waking myself up twice during the night to record dreams. I know one dream a week isn't much, but as I said it's a major improvement for me.
