      Dream Helper=Music?

Can music before you go to sleep help you dream more vividly?

I also listen to jazz fusion like Al Di Meola, classical, especially paganini for my guitar inspiration, and lots of other kinds of music

Hey Turkey - welcome to the forum!

Well, I think that might depend on the person and how deeply they appreciate music. Judging from your signature, you have a nice variety of styles of music which makes me believe that it's effect on your mind during (or before sleep) would be very beneficial. Music can definitely have an effect on the content of our dreams since it can so easily alter our mood.

As far as your dreams becoming more vivid, I tend to think that depends a lot on your recall ability as well, and not just the dream. All our dreams are memories to us - the most easily recalled will naturally seem the most vivid. The more intense the dream, the greater the effect it would have on us, so the stronger the impression, the better the memory. That's at least my opinion. If music can effect the intensity or mood of our dreams, then it should be able to (by default) make us recall it more vividly.

I havent really noticed anny changes with recalling dreams when listening to music
I sleep pretty much every night with music, and what ive noticed is that it definitly does affect your dreams.

Mostly its subtle, like having a war with a gang called " the murder city devils" and softly hearing " i want alot now" on the background, (the guitar in that song is just ..whoa ).

But that effect might vary with each person, theres only one way to find out though

      Hmz there's no headbang smily :sweat2: .
      And welcome ofcourse

I have two different types of sounds I use with good results when falling asleep. One is Shamanic drumming, the other is my nature sounds clock radio set on the rushing stream sound. In both cases I imagine travelling down a long tunnel. Doesn't always help with dreaming, but both really help me fall asleep.
