Thread: Huh? What Was That?

Hi! A few years ago I read some stuff on this site and practiced my dream recall, and have just started trying to get back into it.

About a week ago I woke up during the night and when I was going back to sleep I actually felt myself going to sleep. I was entirely concious and I would start to hear voices and realise my body was paralysed, I then forced my eyes open and woke up, then did the same thing a few times, starting to hear voices and then opening my eyes to wake up.

Do you think this might have been like a WILD?

Yay ... although it has only happened once before. It was completely unintentional too, I'm not sure what caused it really.

i was thinking about trying wild.. but i need to improve my dream recall first ( think of all that hard work WASTED if i cant even remember what happened lol)

Yeah I need to improve my dream recall heaps before I deliberately try to WILD. Before I started trying to remember my dreams a few days ago I hadn't remembered any dreams in months! But now two days in a row I've remembered dreams, 1 two nights ago and two last night.

I THINK this happened to me before and I started seeing things. I want to be able to do this often though.

I think you don't need recall for WILD. You WILD, you are there - in the LD, and you just make sure you wake up at the end of the WILD, rather than lose lucidity and go on with the night (cause in that case, you WILL need recall).
If you wake up: Kabam! Another LD totally recalled.

i think u would remember the first part of the dream easy but the further u get in.... it might be harder

i dont know i just wanst way good recall before i start practicing this kind of stuff lol

what voices did u hear... caz im tryna do it on purpus and i see like wierd ligthts and it makes me open my eyes by acident... but im waiting 4 sounds.. what sounds am i gonna hear? lol

The sounds you'll hear - if you will hear any sounds at all - depend on the person.

o ok thanks... the most ive herd when trying to do it myself was lastnight.... i got pritty close 2 sleep and i herd someone say my name n i woke up n then fell unconscious n woke up now with my alaram at 5 after an awsome dream i no was good but i woke up 2 the light of my phone alamrm an i lost it sep the art teacher was caugh by ailians... or something im way of lucid lol

u know that sound of blood rushing to your ears when u yawn? thats what i heard when i stayed awake long enough. My ears popped a whole bunch too.
