Last last night I had the best dream that i've had in a long time! The problem was I had to wakeup early so I couldn't stay in it using any methods such as spinning, I was wondering if anybody here know of any techniques to re-enter a dream from a previous night. Any tips would be appreciated.

i've continuted a dream before not on purpose though if you were lucid perhaps you should gain control and re-create that dream scene

      Good Luck!

there's a tutorial in the tutorial section dedicated to reentering dreams. In your case just substitute the image of the last faded dream with some image from the dream you want to recreate

Reminds me of something that I had happen recently. I had a really powerful (non-lucid) dream that I actually woke up from throughout that night and thought "No, I'm not done yet" and continued it several times. When I finally woke up for the day it still felt unfinished. That whole entire day I thought about it and how much I wanted to go back. Right before I went to bed it occured to me that since I have been thinking about this dream so much, if I do indeed return it might cause me to become lucid. Well my feeling had been right, I did indeed manage to make it back to the last place I was at in that dream, and it did cause me to become lucid. However it wasn't the same. It was empty and none of the dream characters that should have been there were. I tried to remedy this with my "lucid powers" or what have you but to no avail, I couldn't restore the scene (Need more practice&#33. I eventually got discouraged and wandered off and lost lucidity. I still intend to finish that dream one day...

hmm perhaps this is a new way of gaining lucidy or is it already a way you could easily remember a dream for the entire day and try to return to it that night and become lucid

I suppose it's pretty closely related to Visually Induced Lucid Dreams technique (or Visually Incubated or whatever). I suppose the reason it happened was because the very last image of the original dream was etched into my mind, I can still see it vividly even now. All that day I thought about this dream and this vivid picture from this dream and wanted to return there. After 16 hours straight of associating that image with dreaming, it's really no surprise to me that when I actually arrived at said place my brain picked up on it and realized "Hey this is a dream" .

Lol, why wait a day? You can reenter that dream multiple times each night if you have enough self control.
