Hi everyone,

I'm not sure what good it does to introduce oneself, but here goes. I am new at Lucid Dreaming. I'm not really looking for a mentor or a tutor or to be adopted or anything. I don't believe that there's a whole lot another person can teach about lucid dreaming - you just have to want it, and really, really want it.

I got into this idea through the books of Carlos Castaneda. Just by the looks of things, it seems I know more about his work than other people here. Good, it's always good to have a fresh perspective. At this point, I have "found my hands" in my dreams three times, then I immediately woke up. I am not a natural at LD - oh not at all. (My sister is a natural, she does it all the time.) But I've read a lot about it, so I would classify myself as a lucid student or a lucid newbie.

I have been working my @$$ off at LD for about a year. Ok, that's not true, I've been weakly willing myself to do it every once in a while for about a year, and been having only 3 very brief results. I am pretty frustrated right now. Every night I try to pay attention as I fall asleep, and I will myself to have LD's buuuut it hasn't been working so far. Life is short though, and I don't have time to waste.

Castaneda never talked about WILD or any other such thing. For now, I'm suspicious of it, because it seems to be short-circuiting true control of dreaming, that is, increased awareness.

That's me, nice to meet the other members.
