New Lucid one on the Boards says hi

Yeah I'm new around here and my name is Allon, I'm 20 years old and live in The Netherlands. I wear dreadlocks that hang down to my shoulders, listen to alot of music ( SKA, DnB, Reggae, Nu/Alt Metal, Punk, GOA Trance&Ambience, Amon Tobin..etc) Play guitar and sing in my own Ska band, cuz SKA is the greatest I draw like there is no tomorrow: www.looseminded.deviantart.com for those who are interrested.

I've been a Lucid Dreamer for most parts of my youth and found out what lucid dreaming was and that I had been lucid dreamin all along about half a year ago.
Since then I've gotten back into it by training methods and had found myself in a lucid dream again within 2 weeks practice.

However lately I seem to have lost the touch, in fact: I can hardly remember any dream at all. Remembering a small shred of my dream from last night has been the first solid thing I remember from my dreams in about 2 months! So i found this forum, registered and hoped I could get back on track with the lucid dreaming. I hope there's a bunch of positively insane people on these boards so we can have a good laugh, like I remember from the last forum I was on. having a good time is always important.

Well I'll be posting some more later, hope you guys are fun

      Hey SKA and

That's great to hear! Feel free to share what methods and/or techniques you applied to get back into it.

However lately I seem to have lost the touch, in fact: I can hardly remember any dream at all. Remembering a small shred of my dream from last night has been the first solid thing I remember from my dreams in about 2 months!
Well if you've been checking out the forum then I'm sure you've already been advised about keeping a dream journal - but, just in case you haven't : start a dream journal! Just go to bed each night with the intention of writing down whatever it is you're dreaming about just before you wake up.
      Tips for recall include
1) when you wake up, lie still and think only about where you just where and what you were just doing. If you can't think of anything, pay attention to how you're feeling. Angry, scare, happy... these feelings might remind you of what you were just dreaming about.
2)If you can, try going without an alarm for a while. Alarms actually disturb our seep cycle and pull you out of sleep before you're actually ready to. Also, reaching over to turn alarm clock off will require you to move out of your sleeping position and distract you.

I hope
Yep, we got plenty of them around and the more time you spend on here the quicker you'll sniff em out (or they'll sniff you out first).

Looking forward to hearing about your recovery back into lucid dreaming!

PS-- I'm a fan of ska myself. I had gone through a ska "phase" a few years back but still consider it one of my favorite genres. I've met Dicky (from MM BossTones) a couple times and hung out with guitarist from the Specials at a music event once. For the most part, though, I only have a short list of bands that know much about besides the more recent Madness and NoDoubt types. Got any older greats to recommend?

Ah, another Netherlands denizen Welcome! TJ pretty much just gave you the same advice that I would, so I won't repeat what he said, but I'm also interested in how you became lucid before you lost touch. Did it just come naturally?

Um, I don't think you'll have much of a problem there See you around!

Yeah well when I was a child I remember sometimes falling asleep into a scary dream. I would think ''no I don't want this dream'' and wake up slightly and go into another dream. Also I had gotten used to waking up out of nightmares deliberately by ''openening'' my eyes in my dreams. This sometimes resulted in false awakenings too.

later I had read about it again and trained it and got about 5 LD's alltogether and since I haven't had any.

Starting with a DJ is only possible if you actually have SOMETHING to write down. When I'm just awake I lie in bed trying to remember my dream and I get plenty of shreds of information of my dream that night...only they're too brief and abstract, like feelings, that I can't actually write that down.

I think going to bed before midnight and being well rested is gunna help me recover my dreamrecall a whole lot
