      Thumbs up

      i read the tutorials and everything but i'd like to know exactly how real do averaged controled lucid dreams feel? are they like REAL life where you remember and think the same way you would on a regular day or are you still in kind of dream mode but you can direct what you are doing?

      I think it varies from person to person, but I can definately say that I don't think very clearly at all in LD's. Also, memory tends to be increased from regular dreams, but is no way near as good as real life.

      It's more like what you said;
      still in kind of dream mode but you can direct what you are doing[/b]

      thats kind of disappointing because from the stuff that i read it made it sound exactly like reality but you can do w/e you want.

      i think clear as day in my lucid dreams... although most are still fuzzy dream backround one of them zoomed (for lack of a better word) into a reality feel. everything seemed so real right when i became lucid it was like, controling my own world. i always think pretty clearly in my lds

      I was so lucid at one point in doing LDing that i was in a dream that was SO REAL - I KNEW i was asleep and dreaming inside a dream, but it was so real that i thought i was awake - it was almost scary but afterwards i realized how lucid i was to get to taht point...

      The other part of it is that it's more like a higher consciousness where the more you do it the more lucid you become and there are no words to describe it - we can only show you how to get there and then you feel its incedibility for yourself.......it's almost the peace that passeth understanding....
      "What if I were to tell u that you can take control...of all of this? Look at all these people. Seems as though they're just all chatting away? Nothing to do with u. And yet., maybe they're only here because u wanted them to. U are their god. U can make them obey u or even destroy u."

      Don't expect to much from your first lucid dream. It will more than likely only last a couple of seconds, and you'll probably only be able to control yourself for a while. Put all thoughts of changing the environment and doing exactly as you want out of your mind for now, and just focus on staying aware in your dreams. You won't be dissapointed, and it'll still be a great experience when you have your first one.

      I had my first reasonable one last night, about 45 seconds long. After it, I realised it's going to be a long time before I can do what I want. (I won't try to jump through any more walls for a while)

      My first lasted a few seconds because of excitement, but that was before I knew that LDing was even possible. It should be easier once you've taken in some more info off the forums, and you'll be more confident.

      Everyone is different so there's no telling what your first LD will be like. Just depends a lot on you.

      Like people have said everyone is different. My first LD was very fuzzy but the last few I have had seemed more clear. I don't think that clearly though.

      For me its like waking up .....in a dream, totally awesome . good luck by the way.
      Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.
