i cant find any personal dream signs

i read in the tutorial that once you set up dream reacall you can notice personal dream signs. Ive recorded numerous dreams and there is no reocurring sign or theme. What should i do to pick up on the fact that i am dreaming?

      Welcome Jack!

Well you're going to have to step it up a notch! You're gonna have to try other ways of dream indications. If you are unable to find dream signs that will benefit you or if your dream scene changes that much, then you're going to have to input some habitual techniques. This may take a while but let these techniques become your guide to LDing. Try this everytime you walk through a door any door say in your mind to yourself "Am I dreaming" and then do some RC's [reality checks]. Incorporate this method in every instance that you are confronted with walking in or out of a door(in your waking world). If you're wearing a watch that could be a good RC for you. and don't check it once check it several times back to back to back.. Good Luck Jack

Well it seems like either you need more time in order to start recognizing trends, or you just might not have stable dream signs!

Some people really just don't have obvious dreamsigns, or have them but they change every month, week, or night.

If you are aiming to get lucid, Shadow has given some good advice. Be active! Use RCs, MILD, and try everything. You will succeed.

      And welcome.

Hello How much do you recall on a general basis Jack?
It is hard to make an essesment unless we new how much of your dreams you remember. Sometimes dream signs don't stick out there like a soar thumb either. By reviewing your journal entries you may have to compare several of them before you can determine a seqeunce. You may have done that to that drgree in which case you would have to step it up a notch. Like ShawdowNightWing instructed.

yeah i will take shadow night wings advice, i have to kick it up a notch. By the way i have been recording my dreams for around 5 months now. Last night i had my first lucid dream, it was spontaneous but still exhikliritaing none the less, i hopped around and floated and actually thought that i had woken up. i was so happy because i thought there was something wrong with me but as it turns out everyone can, its just a matter of time and diligence.

      technique?

lets say that at a certain time every day, lets say six, i tie my shoes 5 times write i am dreaming 50 times and walk around the perimeter of my room 10 times. If i keep this routine up will i eventually do it in my dream and remember that im dreaming? Is this technique worth it?

Thats is awesome. I am sure there will be more to come. Good deal.
If you think it is worth it, it is. There are other techniqeus that may not be so time consuming. But use what ever works!!!!!!!!!!!

They pretty much covered it all! (Howetzer/Shadow)
But i would like to cover one other area...dream signs are NOT the only way in which to gain lucidity.

Are you trying different ways? Like shadow said reality checks...
Another thing...how many dreams do you recall a night...you said you have been recording 5 months. This is good. You should have some kind of similare item/theme/problem? As simple as the lights not working/teeth falling out/knee caps turning into paperdoll

      Good luck!

By recording and rereading your dreams, your thought processes in the dream state are being filed away in your subconscious. Most of the times I have become lucid I cant pinpoint an event or a sign that triggered it, so I see it as a subconscious recognition of thought processes.

The first time I went lucid, it was from a memory from the waking world sneaking its way into the dream, contradicting what was taking place, or rather who was in the dream. So it is a very open thing, there is certainly no small list of ways to become lucid. Let your mind open to itself, and it will all flow from that.

Dreamsigns is a retarded method, in my opinon. Use another induction method.

(it's retarded because I said it was, and I am not god therefore I am...a possum, and possums has more letters than god and Royal Mail is royal, and they sends letters, and royalty is as close to god as you get, therefore I am god. See, it's that simple).
