ive never had a lucid drema in which i would controll the dream, but i did know i was dreaming once....a very long time ago, and only once. So i read about this sumwhere and searched a bit, to stumble upon this website. After reading the info on here ibecame really interested, the idea of actually controlling ur dream sound scompletely insane and out of this world. i would love to be able to experience that. now what i would like to ask is this....is this for real? i mean sure it can happen, but can u ppl actually controll ur dream when u want? u get those dreams on a regular basis? sounds impossible to me

Hey! Welcome to DV forum! Firstly, yes, this is for real! With enough practice, patience and development of skill, you can control and experience your dream how you want! When you're dreaming at night (or any other time when your'e sleeping), of course. You can therefore increase your chances of having them and how often. Check out some of the dream journals on this site!

Hi Ruslan Welcome to the forum! And to answer your question - of course, LDing is for real! Do you think we'd have thousands of members here talking about LDing if it wasn't for real? Just take a look around the forum and see for yourself. Read some people's dream journals - especially Oneironaut's (one of our Dream Guides) - he has the most awesome LDs ever! If you haven't already, you should start a dream journal of your own to help improve your recall. Also, check out the tutorials for more information regarding different acronyms you'll come across throughout the forum, and also different LDing-related information to help you get started.
