Post

Hi all,

I just recently found out about Lucid Dreaming, and when I googled it I came up with this site. I'm really interested in finding out more! According to what I've read here so far, Lucid Dreaming is just when you are aware you're dreaming. In that case, I've been lucid dreaming for years now without even knowing I was doing it! I'd like to see if I can lucid dream when I want to, and not just at random.
I have been keeping a dream journal since 2003, but I don't write in it every morning. I usually just write down the most interesting dreams, or ones that I feel are really important.

So... that's all I guess! I look forward to learning more!

Wow, I think you just described myself 3 years ago down to the word! I've always been able to LD - I just didn't know there was a name for such a thing. And I've been keeping a DJ for about 3 years now, but I'd only write down the really cool or important ones.

Anyhoo, welcome to the forum! I hope this site and forum help you out as much as it did (and still does) me. The community is so friendly and helpful, and there's so much information available here to help you develop.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions. Good luck and have fun!

Hey, wow! That's interesting that what I described is so similar to the way you were ^_^ How good are you at lucid dreaming now? Because, three years down the road, maybe I'll be there too Hehehe.

Thanks for the welcome I feel at home already!

I average about 2-3 LDs per week (sometimes less depending on what's going on in my life), but they are always DILDs or accidental WBTBs (after I get up to use the bathroom or something). I don't really practice any techniques anymore, except the occasional RC (to stay in the habit) and I still keep up on my DJ.

When I first joined this forum, I used a lot of the techniques to learn more about LDing and myself - especially how to recognize my dreamsigns. Once I learned about dreamsigns and RCs, I could pretty much gain lucidity quite easily as a DILD.

Everyone is different, so I just found what worked best for me and went with it. Take some techniques and tweak them to fit yourself and your lifestyle. Some members try to use the tutorials as step-by-step cookbook directions, but there is no black and white with dreaming since no one is the same.

Anyway, glad to have you aboard! Please feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

Thanks! I do have a question. What's a DILD? You don't have to answer that, I'm about to go see in the Tutorial section Thanks for the advice about the techniques though. I haven't tried any yet (waiting for the weekend, when I don't have to get up a 6AM) but I'm not sure which one I should try anyway. Again, I'm about to go look at the tutorials.

My internet has been down for the past few days which is why I haven't replied, but guess what? I had a lucid dream two nights in a row! It wasn't very long at all, either time, but still, I'm proud that I did it! I'm going to start a new thread somewhere with the details of my first "real" experience so if you want you can look. I'll let you know where it is when I put it up It's exciting!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I really look forward to reading this board ^_^

Just wanted to stop in and say Congrats on achieving your Lucid Dream Janos way to go. Did you happen to use the DILD technique or anything else? It's pretty exciting huh? I wish you more Lucid Dreams in the future keep it up.

OK, my account of my first lucid experience is now in the Lucid Experiences section. You probably could have guessed that yourself anyway

And I know what a DILD is now. That's the way I've had my lucid dreams too!
