Hello, just a quick question :)

      Hello everyone,

I just discovered this site tonight, and have found some posts extrememly helpful to me. As a quick background I have been a dreamer since I was young. I could always remember them. Two years ago I ran into a website of lucid dreaming. I found out that I could very easily do this. Now don't get me wrong I cannot achieve this every night, but can do it most nights if I choose. I can tell myself beforehand what to dream or I can pick and choose as I'm dreaming. I also maybe once every couple months have OOBE. I particularly do not care for these and am not sure how to stop them. So I guess that could be my first question. My second question is, when having a lucid dream and wanting to wither slip out of lucidity or wake up I cannot do it. It feels like I'm coming to myself but am pulled back into it. This can happen over 50 times before I wake up. I guess I am frustrated that I can achieve lucidity quite well and can control what I do while I'm there, but cannot control everything about it. Sorry if this is confusing. any comment will be appreciated! Thanks.

First I would like to say HI
One thing you can try to do is do find a bed in your dream scene and go back to sleep in your LD. I have read that works.I have not been fortunate enough to be Not able to wake up. It is the other way around. Speaking of around, Hope you stick around the forum & check it out. Our Administrator has put a lot of work into this sight.
      Good luck waking up.
I am not familiar enough with oobe's to give you much advice. Sorry.

Q1: I asked a similair thing and Kaniaz gave me the reply: just go back to your body.

Q2: You could probably do it if you concentrated harder.

      Welcome!!!!

Sorry, I know nothing about OBE.

But I've always found that if I close my eyes, I will pull out of an LD and wake up!

Of course I do everything I can to stay lucid!

      Welcome Cindy!

I'm not sure about the OBE question, but whenever I want to wake up from a lucid dream I would open my eyes really wide in the dream (even though they are already 'open', and my eyelids would snap open in real life.

Cindy, how is it that you have the OBEs?
Do they just happen to you, or do you consciously choose to make them happen? if so, how do you go about it?

      Hey everyone,
Thanks for your replies. I will most definately try the shutting/opening my eyes while consciously thinking of waking up. And yes lol I have said WAKE UP to myself only to have a false awakening and go man this sucks and try again etc... I know it sounds weird but it can make you frustrated. One of the neat things about being able to control lucidity and wanting it to last awhile for me is having myself "go to sleep" while dreaming. Lol it is like I watch myself sleep? Has anyone else tried this?
As for my oobe's, I'm not sure if I have what everyone else describes exactly. But how these happen to me, mind you I don't ejoying achieving them, is usually towards the evening when I'm tired and lying on my couch in silence. I believe everything being quiet like in a meditation state just thinking of the what I did or gonna do tomorrow. Anyways to get on with it, the best way to describe what I feel is a rushing of my body from the bottom up through the top. I fell most "pressure?" in my head though. And I feel myself lift up, then I can turn around look at my sleeping body, or travel through the house. Flying or walking I ca do either. But I have been too scared to venture outside of my house. I guess I am scared that I'm dead or whatever. I have no idea hw I go back to my body I just fell the same pressure and I there. So if anyone else can explain what this is if it is not an oobe I would be a happy camper! Thanks for your time, and I hope everyone has fun with achieving their goals!

that sounds like an OOBE...just go back to your body to end them.
