Hello Everyone. A friend found this site for me and it was so interesting I thought I would sign up for the board. I don't even know where to start really so I thought I'd briefly describe my dream story. My dreams are VERY real feeling. I am pretty sure I can never tell I'm dreaming. (Now I'm seeing how that is a problem&#33 I usually have nightmares...or maybe that isn't the best word. They aren't inherently scary some of the time, but they feel strange or frightening and I think that is importaint. I often break into a sweat while dreaming. I know they are all creations of my mind but BOY are they bizzare!!! So last night was the first night I suppose but I had to wake up in such a rush that I don't remember the dreams. They really have quite a control on me and possibly many other people. So I hope this works! Does anyone else feel affected by their 'dream mood' during the day? Also, I feel like the movie "Waking Life" must be popular around here! (But its possible it was discussed to death and I just brought up a newb topic...hahaha&#33

Well take care everyone, have great days and nights!

Welcome to the forum Raven .

The tutorials has lots of information to help induce LD's.

A good place to start learning to LD, is with improving your dream recall using a dream journal each night and recording your dreams.
Reality checks also help, as they make you question if you a dreaming, repeating this will make the question "pop" into your head making you go lucid.

Hope this helps and good luck .

Hey Raven! Welcome to DV

You mentioned being affected by a "dream mood" when you wake up. I've had that happen a few times, though only onece did the emotion really carry through the entire day. It just depends on what the dream is about and also whether or not I have time to focus on it after I wake up.

As Neavo said, feel free to check out the tutorials and wander around the forum. If you have questions, feel free to ask

(As for "Waking Life," yes, that is an interesting movie... and there are a couple of threads around here)
