I found this site whilst searching on google for hypnogogic (or however you spell it) hallucinations. To put it blank i've taken a fair amount of drugs and as a sideeffect i hallucinate whilst sober a fair amount. It can be really fun but it can also be quite scary alone at night when stuff happens in the dark (like semi invisible hands sprouting from anyything dark which is close to me then trying to grab my face). I was thinking that if i get good at lucid dreaming then i wont have to screw my mind + body up with drugs if i want to enter a different reality. All in all it could stop me from ruining my life

Hi and welcome to the forum Twigman Its Hypnagogic Imagery , if you want to LD I'd suggest you stop the drugs or atleast cut don because it will be hard to recall your dreams while the drugs are affecting your mind. To start off, you need to make a dream journal so that your dream recall will improve and you will recognise your dream signs. Then go on to Reality Checks so that while in a dream you will realise you are dreaming. Have you checked the tutorials section yet? It has all the key information that you will need.
