Confusing Acronyms...

Alright, this is my first day, (yay for me. ^_^) and I've run acros several acronyms. I'm great with everything you guys are talking about, for example, OBE was out of body experience. It took me about 15-20 minutes trying to figure out what OBE stood for, but after thinking about it, I guessed, "Out of Body Experience" So that made some sense. Then, I came across

MILD
DILD

Any other acronyms I should know? Oh! One more question. A few months ago, I was sitting in bed, beginning to zone out. Suddenly, every single sound in my room was audible. I started getting extremely tired, and all the sounds in my room were gone. I could hear them, but not at the same time. I can't really describe it. I could hear the noises, but it was as if they weren't really there. I was still kind of zoned out, but when I noticed this was happening I immediately sat up trying to understand what was going on. Suddenly, everything was back to normal, and I was no longer drouzy or tired. Perhaps that was just some kind of weird form of me beginning to fall asleep... Kinda dumb question, but I thought if anybody would be able to answer, it was you guys. Thanks for the help.

And sometimes, when you zone out, that happens a bit. Your consciousness changes, and therefore, so do your senses. Ive done that many a time.
